1st Iwade Scout Group

I have been involved in scouting in one way or another since I was six years old.  I was a Beaver, Cub and Scout with groups on the Isle of Sheppey and when I was sixteen, became a young leader with the 1st Sheppey Queenborough group.

After a few years I decided I needed a new challenge and spoke to the County office to see what might be possible.  They put me in touch with the Commissioner for Sittingbourne and Milton District who asked me if I would be interested in helping to set up and run a new cub pack in Iwade.  As soon as I met Jo and the other members of her team, I knew that moving to Iwade would be a good move.

On March 10th 2003 I held my first cub pack meeting with 10 wonderful young people. Straight away I felt like I belonged to the village and the group.
